Staying on the Innovative Edge
Who are you reading to stay on the leading/innovative edge in your sector? At the Stark Education Partnership we continually research innovation in education locally, nationally and internationally. Many of these innovators are part of larger networks of visionary leaders committed to reconsidering what constitutes a good education, how to educate the whole person, and how to foster lifelong learning.
In our recent Issues survey, you - our readers - identified education innovation as a top area of interest. Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing a few of our favorite thought-leaders and their platforms. This week we highlight HundrEd.
HundrEd: The Hub of Global Education Innovations
HundrED (a not for profit organization) researches and connects schools, classrooms, students and partners who are leading the way in education innovation.
Each year, HundrEd selects 100 global, inspiring education innovations (their first collection began in 2017) and shares them with the world. In order to be chosen, innovations must 1) Bring something new within the context; 2) Have been running for at least one year and shown demonstrable evidence of impact; and 3) Be usable in other areas or countries around the world.
Check out a few of the initiatives that HundrEd has spotlighted:
"The purpose of education is to help every child flourish, no matter what happens in life. In a fast-changing world, education must adapt to keep up. The world is full of inspiring innovations, but they can struggle to spread beyond their immediate environments. That's why HundrED seeks and shares impactful and scalable K12 innovations with the world, for free."
