Malone University and Stark State to

Host College Goal Sunday

For students and their families applying for college financial aid can be a confusing and daunting task, particularly when it comes to filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is not only required to apply for all federal aid programs, many state and institutional aid programs also require the form. That's why the annual College Goal Sunday, which helps students and parents complete the FAFSA, has emerged as an important annual event in Ohio. Last year, nearly 39% of those participating were first generation college-going students and 41% of their families made under $40,000 a year.[1]

This Sunday at 2 pm, both Malone University and Stark State College will participate as Stark County sites for this free statewide event. Stark State College will host the event at both at its main and downtown Canton campuses.

College Goal Sunday is sponsored by the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, (OASFA), USA Funds, Great Lakes, Ohio College Goal Sunday, and the Ohio College Access Network (OCAN)  and is endorsed by the Ohio Board of Regents. Registration is encouraged at www.ohiocollegegoalsunday.org or by calling 1-877-428-8246.
