Stark Districts Can Now Track the College Progress of Their High School Graduates
Student Tracker Website
For the first time, Stark County school districts can track their high school graduates through college enrollment, progression and completion anywhere in the nation in nearly "real-time." In fact, superintendents already know that over 60% of the Class of 2010 enrolled in college this fall.

This advance comes through the county-wide implementation of the National Student Clearinghouse Student Tracker System, the nation's first integrated high school to college data system. [1] Unlike state or federal systems that report in the aggregate and are often time-lagged two or more years, Student Tracker allows districts to follow individual student results at over 92% of the nation's colleges.

Districts can then look at what high school factors are linked to student success in college. Next year, Student Tracker will become even more relevant for Stark County as the system will be able to show post secondary progress based on taking dual credit in high school.

This year's subscription to Student Tracker was funded by the Stark Education Partnership through a grant from TG. The Stark County Educational Service Center and the Canton City Schools manage the student data.
