Stark State College will host a grand opening - including tours and CDL simulator demonstrations - on Friday, March 6 at 5:45 pm for its new Downtown Canton Satellite Center at 400 Third St. SE.

Which Student Strengths Contribute to Success in Online Dual Credit Courses?   

 

In order to engage in deep learning at the college level in online dual credit courses, students need to exhibit some foundational capabilities which are key to addressing barriers many students face in bridging from high school to college.

In a recent report by t
he Stark Education Partnership, Do Facilitated Online Dual Credit Courses Result in Deep Learning, the majority of facilitating teachers and college faculty agreed that the students enrolled in online dual enrollment courses worked independently, were mature, were motivated and possessed background knowledge.

The relative weighting of the students' strengths did differ between facilitating teachers and college faculty.
