N. Canton Teacher Named to National Hall of Fame
Adrienne O'Neill was pleased to attend and personally congratulate Daryl Woods, Physics teacher at Hoover High School, on his award as one of five teachers selected for the National Teachers United States Hall of Fame. The celebration was held on April 21st at Hoover High School.

Total Number of College Degrees Awarded by Stark Institutions Shows Ten Year Increase

Stark County's six institutions of higher education, combined, awarded over 2,600 degrees during fiscal year 2009, according to figures released last month by the Ohio Board of Regents[1]. With the addition of the Aultman College of Nursing & Health Sciences, that total represents an increase of 37% over the 1,916 degrees awarded in 2000. In the same period of time, degrees awarded by all Title IV-eligible higher education institutions in Ohio increased 35%.
