Newsweek Names Hoover, Jackson and Lake Among the Best High Schools in the Nation


Newsweek America's Best High Schools 2013 Another set of rankings this week placed three Stark County high schools among the best in the nation.


America's Best High Schools[1], published by Newsweek and the Daily Beast looks at those schools that best prepare students for college. For 2013, Hoover, Lake and Jackson High Schools are ranked among the nation's top 2,000 schools.


The key indicators used in the rankings are graduation rates, participation in college-level classes via Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, and acceptance into a two- or four-year college program.
