Early College Graduates Celebrate Success

The seventh graduating class of  Canton's Early College High School was celebrated at a recent dinner hosted by the Stevens family and Stark State College. Dr. Adrienne O'Neill addressed almost 300 guests including the graduates, their parents, teachers, and officials from Stark State College and Canton City Schools.

Fifty eight students comprised the Early College graduating class of 2015 and all earned a high school diploma. Of those students 40 (69%) earned Associate of Arts and/or Associate of Science degrees, and 39 earned dual degrees. Nationally, 30% of Early College graduates earn a college degree or certificate.[1]

Joy and Jack Timken attended the dinner to be recognized with the renaming of the school as the Timken Early College High School.
