State of Ohio Officials Visit Marlington Tech Program 

On Thursday, Ohio State Superintendent of Public Instruction - Dr. Richard A. Ross, Ohio Board of Regents Senior Vice Chancellor - Gary Cates, and Ohio Department of Commerce Director - Andre T. Porter visited Marlington High School to view its Oil and Gas Technology and Career Tech Programs.

Two-Thirds of Canton Early College High School Class of 2013 Earn Associate Degrees


CECHS Associate Degrees Thirty-one of the 47 students graduating from Canton Early College High School (CECHS) this spring have earned Associate Degrees from Stark State College. That represents 66%, or two-thirds, of the entire class. Remaining students will graduate with a significant number of college hours and all students will graduate high school on time.

Nationally, 23% of early college high school students graduate with Associate Degrees and 94% earn college credit. The on time high school graduation rate is 93%.[1]


This year is the fifth graduating class for CECHS. To date, 256 students have graduated and 144 have earned Associate degrees. Seventy-six percent continue higher education with most pursuing Bachelor's Degrees.
