On Tuesday, Dr. Adrienne O'Neill chaired an Ohio School Funding Advisory Council subcommittee meeting in Columbus. On Wednesday she attended the Ohio Business Roundtable CEO convening on Early Childhood Education and then the regular Spring meeting. On Thursday, she attended the Governor's Institute on Creativity and Innovation in Education.

Fifty-One New David Foundation Scholars Named

Paul and Carol David Foundation Web SiteSince 1980, the Paul and Carol David Foundation has been a major force in helping hundreds of Stark County students overcome financial barriers to go on to college. In order to qualify to be a David Scholar, students must give evidence of academic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, good citizenship and the ability to overcome obstacles in their life.

Last week the foundation announced the 51 students that have been named 2010 David Scholars. Each scholar will receive a $5,500 annual, renewable scholarship. A complete list of students and information on the program may be found at
