Master's Program at Malone Recognized
Malone College has been recognized and ranked for its master's program in U.S. News & World Report's 2009 America's Best Colleges guidebook. The college tied with four other universities at No. 45 in the magazine's list of best Midwest universities with master's degrees. Walsh University is listed in Tier 3. Mount Union College is listed in Tier 3 for Liberal Arts colleges across the nation. In the national university category Kent State University is listed in Tier 3 and the University of Akron is listed in Tier 4.

Stark Exceeding State Standard
for Graduation

In spring of 2002, the P-16 Compact was formed. One of the goals was to increase high school graduation rates in Stark County. The State Standard for graduation rates is 90%. The following data show that the goal has been accomplished with distinction. The vast majority of Stark County school districts have reached the State Standard. Twelve school districts have a better than 95% graduation rate and notably, six of the school districts have had a better than 95% graduation rate for all five years. Those school districts are: Canton Local, Jackson Local, Lake Local, North Canton Local, Northwest Local, and Perry Local.  Two districts have had a better than 95% graduation rate for four years.  Those districts are: Marlington Local and Tuslaw Local. Graduation rates have been calculated in the same way for each of the five years listed below:
