New Data on 18-24 Year Old College Enrollment Underscores Stark's Success   Stark vs. National College Enrollment


A major new study by the U.S. Department of Education was released on Tuesday. 


In comparing local data, at 45.2% Stark County not only meets, but exceeds, the national average of 43% for college enrollment among 18 to 24 year-olds. The Higher Education: Gaps in Access and Persistence Study[1] further shows that while Stark is mirroring the national average on college enrollment by males (38.3% to 39%), females surpass the rate (53.4% to 47%). Also, at 7.7% more young adults in Stark County have already earned a Bachelor's Degree than in the nation at 7%.
