P-16 Panel Discussion  Dr. Adrienne O'Neill sat on a panel discussion convened by Ohio Education Matters on Oct. 4 in Columbus. The topic was Cradle to Career: How Ohio and its communities can work together to improve student learning.

Canton Now Leads the Nation, Ohio and Stark County in Associate Degrees


Figures [1] released by the U.S. Census Bureau on September 19th as part of the 2011 American Community Survey  show the City of Canton leading the United States, Ohio, and Stark County in the percentage of adults, age 25 and over, who have earned an Associate Degree.     


Also, over half of the city's younger adults, age 18 to 24, have now been to college or earned an Associate Degree.


Local institutions awarding Associate Degrees are Kent State University-Stark Campus, Stark State College and the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences. High school students in Canton can also earn an Associate Degree from Stark State College through Early College High School.
