Stark State College Grows as State Enrollment Drops

Stark State College Largest Enrollment 2012

Figures released by the Ohio Board of Regents earlier this month show that enrollment at Ohio's state colleges and universities fell to 507,425 in the fall of 2012, a 5.87% drop from the previous high of 539,058 in 2011.[1]

The 15th Day Headcount showed that while some four year main campuses, most notably Kent (768 students) and Ohio University (1,358 students), enjoyed sizable gains, 38 of the state's 47 regional campuses and two year colleges saw loses.

The largest enrollment gain of any two year institution was at Stark State College where an addition of 117 students brought the college's enrollment for fall 2012 to 15,653.
