There are Now 100,000 Stark Students: Preschool through College


According to the U.S. Census, Stark County's school enrollment is now a six-figure proposition. The 2011 American Community Survey (ACS) released this fall outlines the scope of this new community benchmark.[1]

One factor in exceeding the 100,000 enrollment mark is the 29,953 students now in college. In 2005, the first year comprehensive ACS figures were available, that enrollment stood at 18,408. Since that time, Stark's college enrollment has seen a 63% rate of increase.
