On Thursday, Dr. Joe Rochford attended the 2012 Northeast Ohio Talent Dividend Summit. The Talent Dividend is an initiative of the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education. The Stark Education Partnership is a Talent Dividend Steering Committee member.

Stark State College Ranked among Nation's Top Producers of Key Associate Degrees

In 2010, Community College Week named Stark State the fastest growing large two year college in the nation. This year, the weekly publication of community colleges made it clear that growth is not the only factor in Stark State's success.


For 2012, the college is listed among the nation's top 50 associate degree producers in two key workforce preparation areas.


With the award of 174 degrees in 2011, Stark State ranks 16th in the nation in the production of associate degrees in engineering technologies and engineering related fields. With 112 degrees, the college also ranks 23rd in the nation on computer and information sciences and support services.[1]
