In his role as Chairman, President & CEO, Chris works with the Board of Directors to chart Employers Health’s overall strategy. Having led the company for over thirty years, Chris regularly counsels plan sponsors in the areas of employee benefit design and contracting with particular expertise in pharmacy benefits management and state/federal health and employee benefit laws. Chris is a former law school professor where he spent ten years teaching health law at University of Akron School of Law, followed by two years at Northeast Ohio Medical School where he taught health policy and economics. A supporter of public education, Chris has served on the Jackson Local Board of Education for nearly twenty years.

Chris earned his undergraduate degree in business administration, with a major in finance, from Ohio Northern University, a master’s degree in political science from University of Akron as well as a Juris Doctor from University of Akron School of Law. Chris is married, the father of three adult children, and has one grandchild.
