Director of School Relations
Jay began working with the Partnership in 2017 and currently serves as Director of School Relations. He supports the education community in advancing the system to better meet student and community needs with focused attention on career planning, entrepreneur programs, and innovation. Additionally, he serves to assist student transitions beyond high school through his oversight of SEP's Career Champions in our partner schools as well as our AmeriCorps College and Career guides in Stark County’s three urban high schools.
Jay has served on national, state, and regional advisory boards. He taught elementary, middle, and high school students, college-level undergraduate classes, and graduate workshops. He formerly served as director of 21st Century Learning for Canton Local Schools. He was selected in 2019 to participate in the ISTE-General Motors Artificial Intelligence Explorations in K-12 School Environments program.
Jay earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Walsh University and his master’s of education in administration and supervision from Ashland University.
