John Hopple

Career Champion

John was hired in 2026 as a Career Champion with the Stark Education Partnership, a role focused on increasing student awareness of in-demand local careers by aligning education with workforce needs and strong employer partnerships to create clear pathways and work-based learning opportunities that prepare students for successful careers in Stark County. In this position, John is passionate about helping students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities and envision meaningful futures right here in the local community.


John earned his bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K–8) from Malone University and dedicated 32 years to serving students at Canton Local Schools as a middle school teacher. Throughout his career, he worked closely with students during critical developmental years, helping them build academic foundations, confidence, and an understanding of their own strengths and interests. This long-term experience in education has given him a deep appreciation for the importance of guidance, relevance, and support as students prepare for life beyond the classroom.


John has been a lifelong resident of Stark County, which has shaped both his personal values and professional commitment. Having lived and worked in the community for his entire life, he is deeply invested in its students, schools, and local workforce. John is proud to continue serving Stark County by helping students discover career pathways that lead to long-term success while strengthening the connection between education and the local economy.
