Mark McClure
Career Champion
Mark joined SEP in 2026 as a Career Champion where he focuses on increasing student awareness of in-demand local careers by aligning education with workforce needs. Through strong employer partnerships, he helps create clear career pathways and work-based learning opportunities that prepare students for successful futures in Stark County. A central focus of his work is helping students discover their “why.”
Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Malone University and a Master of Science in Physical Education from Ohio University. He spent more than 30 years coaching collegiate Track & Field at various institutions and most recently served as the Director of Community Engagement at Malone University for three years. Mark is also the creator of the Malone 360 Initiative – a program designed to mentor youth and provide nontraditional sport opportunities to students in Stark County. His passion lies in mentoring the next generation and giving young people hope for a bright future.
Mark is a member of both the Malone University Athletic Hall of Fame and the Green High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He is married to his wife, Bonnie, and together they have five children.
